Arrival

Arrive in Tbilisi. Transfer to the hotel.

Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 2
Visit the capital of Georgia

City tour of Tbilisi: Metekhi Church, delight with unforgettable panoramic views over the river Mtkvari and the main attractions of Tbilisi old district, Narikala Fortress - the ancient symbol of the city, Sioni built in 6th-7th CC, synagogue, the only remaining mosque in Tbilisi, etc. Visit Abanotubani sulfur baths. Visitors will walk to the pedestrian street Sharden. Visit Museum of Fine Arts.

Visit National Museum. Enjoy with the views over the city from Funicular cable car.

Day 3
Discover semi-desert area David Gareja

Visit a rock-hewn Georgian Orthodox monastery complex David Gareja, located near the border with Azerbaigan, in the Semi-desert area (3 km walking). Sightseeing of Sighnaghi - walking on the streets and enjoy with panoramic views over the Alazani Valley and Caucasus mountains. Departure for Bodbe Monastery dedicated to St. Nino.

Walking, hiking: 2 hours.

Overnight in Signhaghi.

Day 4
Explore homeland of Wine

Visit Tsinandali - family estate, museum, vinery. Continues to Kvareli to visit ancient tunel used for the wine cellar. On the route photo stop to the Gremi church and ancient city. Visit Alaverdi Cathedral. Return to Tbilisi.

Day 5
Explore UNESCO sights and the Great Caucasus Mountains

Departure for Mtskheta – an old capital of Iberia kingdom, visit Jvari (Cross) perched on a hill and overlooking the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral ("Life-giving column") - 11th. Shopping of Georgian national handmade souvenirs. On the way of Kazbegi visit Ananuri Castel with picturesque views over Jinvali Reservoir. Cross the legendary Georgian Military Highway, one of the world’s most beautiful roads, through the valleys, ravines and finally over the 2300-meter Cross Pass. Hiking (6 km, 3 hours) up to Gergeti Trinity Church.

Day 6
Visit Khevsureti region

Departure to the second mountain region of Georgia, Khevsureti. Arrive to Shatili, visite of the village and departure for old fortified city of Mutso.

Day 7
Visit Uplistsikhe Cave and Soviet town

The route continues to Gori Joseph Stalin Museum. Visit Uplistsikhe Cave Town.

Continue to Kutaisi.

Day 8
Visit the UNESCO sites and the wine region

Visit the region Ratcha, the mountainous region that is known with its specific wine due from its land. Visit the church of the X century, Nikortminta, a pearl of the Georgian architecture because of its lapidary decoration.

Return to Koutaissi and visit the UNESCO sites: the Gelati Monastery, which is the illustration of Georgian culture from the 10th to the 18th century and the Bagrati Cathedral, which was recently renewed.

Dinner and overnight in Koutaissi.

Day 9
Visit Kast Cave

Visit Prometheus Cave, karst cave abounds in stalactites and stalagmites decorated with colorful laser lights. Continue to Mestia, Svaneti, mountain region, trought Zugdidi.

Dinner and overnight in Mestia.

Day 10
Visit the Svaneti region with Ushguli village

Visit the National Museum of Mestia with its extraordinary treasure.

Leave for Haute Svaneti. On the road visit the village Adishi, with its churches decorated with the characteristic mural for this region. Visit Oushgouli, a two-highest village in Europe and the UNESCO site, characteristic with its defensive towers. Back to Mestia.

Day 11
Discover the Samegrelo region

Return from Mestia to Zugdidi. Visit the Dadiani Palace and see the exhibition of the Georgian cultural heritage linked to the Emperor of France Napoleon Bonaparte, the Tagiloni treasure and the relics of the Dadiani dynasty.

Visit the canyon of Martvili, trésot of the regional nature and finally, visit the church Tsalenjikha.

Dinner and overnight in Zugdidi.

Day 12
From Samegrelo to southern Georgia

Visit an archeological site - Nokalakevi, which shows the ancient Kholchid culture. Continue the road to the south of Georgia and go to Borjomi, the city that is known with its mineral waters.

Transfer: privatized vehicle, about 4 hours.
Dinner and overnight in Borjomi.

Day 13
Visit of the region of the fortresses

Visit the Rabati fortress at Akahltsikhe. The foerteresse which has been renewed recently.
Continue the road to Vardzia, the troglodyte site of the Middle Ages.

Transfer: privatized vehicle, about 3 hours.
Dinner and overnight in Vardzia.

Day 14
The South Regies of Georgia

Departure fromTbilisi via the Phoka monastery, located on the edge of the alpine lake Paravani. Departure for the Orthodox Church of Bolnisis Sioni of the V century, where was found the first Georgian inscription. Lunch at the restaurant. Visit Dmanissi Archaeological Excavations - a major archaeological site listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List, where 1,800,000-year-old hominid fossils were discovered. Back to Tbilisi.
